Android 5.0 Lollipop running on Galaxy Note 4 leaked

Wednesday, December 03, 2014

Samsung hasn’t necessarily won much love lately with its speed at adopting new versions of Android. The company was last to serve KitKat to some of its flagships this year, and even then, the company chose not to upgrade its TouchWiz UI to resemble the newer Galaxy smartphones. Today things change a little as we find that LG is already serving Lollipop to some, so it’s only logical that its worse rival does something about it.
We’ve seen leaks of the Android 5.0 Lollipop running on the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S5 already, and we also know details of the platform running on the Galaxy Note 3. That said, it’s clear that Samsung will push to have Android’s latest and greatest running on its newer smartphones first, and today we get the first leaks of Lollipop running on the Galaxy Note 4. Sadly the leaked photos don’t tell us much about the UI and its changes, but we do see that TouchWiz will now borrow a ton of its design elements from Lollipop, something we know most of you will praise.
We still don’t have any fixed dates as to when we should expect Samsung’s push to Android 5.0 Lollipop, but hopefully it happens before Samsung launches yet another phone.
